In this article showing importance of zakat in Quran and Hadith. Zakat is the most important third of the five pillar of Islam. Zakat means Compulsory to giving. When you have enough money then share it with your family, relatives especially with those who need it who deserve it. Zakat is a form of obligatory charity and importance of zakat in Quran and Hadith that has the potential to ease the suffering of millions.
The meaning of word zakat is “to cleanse”. So that paying zakat is to purifies and increases of their wealth. Zakat is the obligatory payment and as a form of worship for a Muslims. As we know the importance Of Prayer , Fasting , the Zakat having a same importance in Islam.
All Muslims must give Zakat, provided they meet certain conditions. Calculation of Zakat is based on the total savings of a Muslim during one lunar (Islamic) year.
The importance of Zakat in Quran and Hadith for a Muslim
Zakat is important because it’s not just give benefits to the individual, but also the recipient and society at large. It would lift countless people from poverty. Zakat is not just purify your wealth but also your soul.
The Qur’an describes as brothers in faith:
“But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and give their Zakat, they are your brethren in Faith.”
Zakat is very mportant for Muslims for the removal of sins. In a Hadith:The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Giving charity wipes away sins just as water extinguishes fire.”
The charity holds a great place in Islam.
People often think Zakat is just to be paid in the month of Ramadan. Muslim must pay Zakat in this month only. But it is a wrong concept. A Muslims can pay Zakat in all year if they has the stability to do so.
Hadith Sahih Bukhari
بخاری 707: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا :
”اللہ جسے مال دے اور وہ اس مال کی زکوٰۃ نہ دے تو اس کا مال قیامت کے دن اس کے لیے گنجے سانپ کے ہم شکل کر دیا جائے گا جس کے منہ کے دونوں کناروں پر زہریلا جھاگ ہو گا ۔ وہ سانپ قیامت کے دن اس کے گلے کا طوق بنایا جائے گا. پھر اس کے دو جبڑوں کو ڈسے گا اور کہے گا کہ میں تیرا مال ہوں میں تیرا خزانہ ہوں ۔ “ پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( سورۃ آل عمران کی ) یہ آیت نمبر ” 180 “ کی تلاوت فرمائی : ” جو لوگ ان چیزوں میں بخل کرتے ہیں جو اللہ نے ان کو اپنے فضل سے دی ہیں ، وہ یہ نہ سمجھیں کہ یہ روش ان کے لیے بہتر ہے ۔ نہیں بلکہ یہ ان کے لیے بہت ہی بری ہے ۔ ( اور ) جس چیز میں انہوں نے بخل کیا ، اس کا انہیں قیامت کے دن طوق پہنایا جائے گا ۔ “
;بخاری 706: نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا
” قیامت کے دن اونٹ کہ جن کی زکوٰۃ نہ دی گئی ہو گی ، خوب موٹے تازے اچھی حالت میں اپنے مالک پر سوار ہو آئیں گے. اور اپنے مالک کو پاؤں تلے روندیں گے اور بکری کہ جس کی زکوٰۃ نہ دی ہو گی ۔ خوب موٹی تازی اچھی حالت میں اپنے مالک پر سوار ہو کر آئے گی اور اپنے مالک کو اپنے پاؤں تلے روندے گی اور اپنے سینگوں سے مارے گی ۔
بخاری 708: نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” پانچ اوقیہ سونا ( ساڑھے باون تولے چاندی ) سے کم پر زکوٰۃ فرض نہیں ہے اور پانچ اونٹ سے کم پر زکوٰۃ فرض نہیں ہے اور پانچ وسق سے کم ( کھجور ) پر بھی زکوٰۃ فرض نہیں ہے ۔ “
بخاری 709: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : ” جو شخص اپنی پاک کمائی سے ایک کھجور کے برابر بھی صدقہ دیتا ہے اور اللہ تو پاک ہی چیز کو قبول فرماتا ہے. تو اللہ اس کو اپنے داہنے ہاتھ میں لے لیتا ہے. پھر اس کو صدقہ دینے والے کے لیے بڑھاتا ہے جس طرح تم میں سے کوئی اپنے بچے کو بڑھائے . یہاں تک کہ وہ ( کھجور کے برابر والا صدقہ احد ) پہاڑ کے برابر ہو جاتا ہے ۔ “
