Salah (Prayer) The second Pillar Of Islam

Salah /Prayer is the second of the Five Pillars of Islam . Salat/ Prayer the act of communication by humans with Allah SWT. Purification and most ritual actions are considered acts of worship (ʽibadat). In Arabic, Praying five times a day in a prescribed manner called the Salat.

The five daily Salah/Prayer are:

 Fajr (sunrise prayer),

Dhuhr (noon prayer),

Asr (afternoon prayer),

Maghrib (sunset prayer),

and Isha (night prayer). Each prayer has a specific window of time in which it must be complete.

Before prayer Muslims must be clean – both of body and heart. Prayer is important as it allows Muslims to communicate with Allah. To become a Muslim listen to Allah and follow in the footsteps of the Prophets. The connection between a servant and Allah ﷻ is establishing. Through Salah Muslim improved and increased their communication.

Salah are also called namaz. It is a daily obligation for all Muslims above baligh (mature) age. Muslims must be wearing specific types of clothing which keep areas of their body covered. During a Salah Muslim’s face should be on ka,aba Mecca before beginning and must recite phrases and passages from the Qur’an at certain points.

It is important to educate oneself on how to perform their prayer correctly. To ensure the benefits of Salah are acquire and act of worship is receive well by Allah SWT.

In a Hadith shows its greatness and confirms its obligation on all Muslims.

Between a man and shirk and kufr there stands his neglect of the prayer.”

[Narrated by Muslim]

Due to Salat Muslims making it as a type of purification for the evil deeds he committed. Allah ﷻ keep the person away from performing sins during the day to Salat. Allah ﷻ said in Quran:

Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing.”

[Quran 29:45].

After finishing the prayer, one’s heart will be occupied with remembrance of Allah ﷻ; with fear of His displeasure  and hope in His Mercy.
