Adh-Dhaariyat - 31 Page 522

۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

EN [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?"

۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 32 Page 522

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ أُرْسِلْنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍۢ مُّجْرِمِينَ

EN They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals

قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 33 Page 522

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةًۭ مِّن طِينٍۢ

EN To send down upon them stones of clay,

لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 34 Page 522

مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ

EN Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors."

مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 35 Page 522

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers.

فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 36 Page 522

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ

EN And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims.

فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 37 Page 522

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةًۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ

EN And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment.

وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 38 Page 522

وَفِى مُوسَىٰٓ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

EN And in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority.

وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 39 Page 522

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌۭ

EN But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman."

فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 40 Page 522

فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ

EN So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy.

فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 41 Page 522

وَفِى عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلْعَقِيمَ

EN And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind.

وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 42 Page 522

مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَىْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ

EN It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins.

مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 43 Page 522

وَفِى ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ

EN And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time."

وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 44 Page 522

فَعَتَوْا۟ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنظُرُونَ

EN But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on.

فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 45 Page 522

فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مِن قِيَامٍۢ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ مُنتَصِرِينَ

EN And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves.

فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 46 Page 522

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ

EN And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 47 Page 522

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيْنَٰهَا بِأَيْي۟دٍۢ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ

EN And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.

وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 48 Page 522

وَٱلْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَٰهَا فَنِعْمَ ٱلْمَٰهِدُونَ

EN And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer.

وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 49 Page 522

وَمِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

EN And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember.

وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 50 Page 522

فَفِرُّوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

EN So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 51 Page 522

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ ۖ إِنِّى لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

EN And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner.

وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 52 Page 523

كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا۟ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ

EN Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."

كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 53 Page 523

أَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِهِۦ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ طَاغُونَ

EN Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people.

أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 54 Page 523

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٍۢ

EN So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed.

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 55 Page 523

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.

وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 56 Page 523

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ

EN And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 57 Page 523

مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنْهُم مِّن رِّزْقٍۢ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطْعِمُونِ

EN I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.

مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 58 Page 523

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلْقُوَّةِ ٱلْمَتِينُ

EN Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 59 Page 523

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ذَنُوبًۭا مِّثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَٰبِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ

EN And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me.

فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ UR

Adh-Dhaariyat - 60 Page 523

فَوَيْلٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن يَوْمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ

EN And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised.

فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ UR

At-Tur - 1 Page 523

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلطُّورِ

EN By the mount

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالطُّورِ UR

At-Tur - 2 Page 523

وَكِتَٰبٍۢ مَّسْطُورٍۢ

EN And [by] a Book inscribed

وَكِتَابٍ مَسْطُورٍ UR

At-Tur - 3 Page 523

فِى رَقٍّۢ مَّنشُورٍۢ

EN In parchment spread open

فِي رَقٍّ مَنْشُورٍ UR

At-Tur - 4 Page 523

وَٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْمَعْمُورِ

EN And [by] the frequented House

وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ UR

At-Tur - 5 Page 523

وَٱلسَّقْفِ ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ

EN And [by] the heaven raised high

وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ UR

At-Tur - 6 Page 523

وَٱلْبَحْرِ ٱلْمَسْجُورِ

EN And [by] the sea filled [with fire],

وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ UR

At-Tur - 7 Page 523

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَٰقِعٌۭ

EN Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.

إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ UR

At-Tur - 8 Page 523

مَّا لَهُۥ مِن دَافِعٍۢ

EN Of it there is no preventer.

مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ UR

At-Tur - 9 Page 523

يَوْمَ تَمُورُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ مَوْرًۭا

EN On the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion

يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاءُ مَوْرًا UR

At-Tur - 10 Page 523

وَتَسِيرُ ٱلْجِبَالُ سَيْرًۭا

EN And the mountains will pass on, departing -

وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا UR

At-Tur - 11 Page 523

فَوَيْلٌۭ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

EN Then woe, that Day, to the deniers,

فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ UR

At-Tur - 12 Page 523

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى خَوْضٍۢ يَلْعَبُونَ

EN Who are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ UR

At-Tur - 13 Page 523

يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا

EN The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],

يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَىٰ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا UR

At-Tur - 14 Page 523

هَٰذِهِ ٱلنَّارُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُم بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ

EN "This is the Fire which you used to deny.

هَٰذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ UR

At-Tur - 15 Page 524

أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَآ أَمْ أَنتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ

EN Then is this magic, or do you not see?

أَفَسِحْرٌ هَٰذَا أَمْ أَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ UR

At-Tur - 16 Page 524

ٱصْلَوْهَا فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

EN [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do."

اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ UR

At-Tur - 17 Page 524

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَعِيمٍۢ

EN Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ UR

At-Tur - 18 Page 524

فَٰكِهِينَ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَىٰهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

EN Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.

فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ UR

At-Tur - 19 Page 524

كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

EN [They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ UR

At-Tur - 20 Page 524

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّصْفُوفَةٍۢ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَٰهُم بِحُورٍ عِينٍۢ

EN They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.

مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَصْفُوفَةٍ ۖ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِينٍ UR

At-Tur - 21 Page 524

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُم بِإِيمَٰنٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَآ أَلَتْنَٰهُم مِّنْ عَمَلِهِم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۭ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌۭ

EN And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ UR

At-Tur - 22 Page 524

وَأَمْدَدْنَٰهُم بِفَٰكِهَةٍۢ وَلَحْمٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

EN And We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.

وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ UR

At-Tur - 23 Page 524

يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًۭا لَّا لَغْوٌۭ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌۭ

EN They will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin.

يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ UR

At-Tur - 24 Page 524

۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌۭ لَّهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ

EN There will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected.

۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ UR

At-Tur - 25 Page 524

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ

EN And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.

وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ UR

At-Tur - 26 Page 524

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِىٓ أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ

EN They will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah].

قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ UR

At-Tur - 27 Page 524

فَمَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَىٰنَا عَذَابَ ٱلسَّمُومِ

EN So Allah conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire.

فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ UR

At-Tur - 28 Page 524

إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN Indeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."

إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ UR

At-Tur - 29 Page 524

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍۢ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ

EN So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman.

فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ UR

At-Tur - 30 Page 524

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌۭ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِۦ رَيْبَ ٱلْمَنُونِ

EN Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?"

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ UR

At-Tur - 31 Page 524

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا۟ فَإِنِّى مَعَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ

EN Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ UR

At-Tur - 32 Page 525

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَٰمُهُم بِهَٰذَآ ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌۭ طَاغُونَ

EN Or do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ UR

At-Tur - 33 Page 525

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُۥ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ

EN Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe.

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ UR

At-Tur - 34 Page 525

فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ بِحَدِيثٍۢ مِّثْلِهِۦٓ إِن كَانُوا۟ صَٰدِقِينَ

EN Then let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful.

فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِثْلِهِ إِنْ كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ UR

At-Tur - 35 Page 525

أَمْ خُلِقُوا۟ مِنْ غَيْرِ شَىْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ

EN Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]?

أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ UR

At-Tur - 36 Page 525

أَمْ خَلَقُوا۟ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ

EN Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.

أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ UR

At-Tur - 37 Page 525

أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَآئِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ

EN Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?

أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ UR

At-Tur - 38 Page 525

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌۭ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

EN Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ UR

At-Tur - 39 Page 525

أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ

EN Or has He daughters while you have sons?

أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ UR

At-Tur - 40 Page 525

أَمْ تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ أَجْرًۭا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍۢ مُّثْقَلُونَ

EN Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ UR

At-Tur - 41 Page 525

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ ٱلْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ

EN Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?

أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ UR

At-Tur - 42 Page 525

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًۭا ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ

EN Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ UR

At-Tur - 43 Page 525

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

EN Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ UR

At-Tur - 44 Page 525

وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ كِسْفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ سَاقِطًۭا يَقُولُوا۟ سَحَابٌۭ مَّرْكُومٌۭ

EN And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."

وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَرْكُومٌ UR

At-Tur - 45 Page 525

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ

EN So leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible -

فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ UR

At-Tur - 46 Page 525

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِى عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

EN The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped.

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ UR

At-Tur - 47 Page 525

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ عَذَابًۭا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

EN And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.

وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ UR

At-Tur - 48 Page 525

وَٱصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ

EN And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise.

وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ UR

At-Tur - 49 Page 525

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَٰرَ ٱلنُّجُومِ

EN And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars.

وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَارَ النُّجُومِ UR

An-Najm - 1 Page 526

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ

EN By the star when it descends,

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 2 Page 526

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ

EN Your companion [Muhammad] has not strayed, nor has he erred,

مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 3 Page 526

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلْهَوَىٰٓ

EN Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination.

وَمَا يَنْطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 4 Page 526

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْىٌۭ يُوحَىٰ

EN It is not but a revelation revealed,

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 5 Page 526

عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلْقُوَىٰ

EN Taught to him by one intense in strength -

عَلَّمَهُ شَدِيدُ الْقُوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 6 Page 526

ذُو مِرَّةٍۢ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ

EN One of soundness. And he rose to [his] true form

ذُو مِرَّةٍ فَاسْتَوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 7 Page 526

وَهُوَ بِٱلْأُفُقِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ

EN While he was in the higher [part of the] horizon.

وَهُوَ بِالْأُفُقِ الْأَعْلَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 8 Page 526

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ

EN Then he approached and descended

ثُمَّ دَنَا فَتَدَلَّىٰ UR

An-Najm - 9 Page 526

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ

EN And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer.

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 10 Page 526

فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦ مَآ أَوْحَىٰ

EN And he revealed to His Servant what he revealed.

فَأَوْحَىٰ إِلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 11 Page 526

مَا كَذَبَ ٱلْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰٓ

EN The heart did not lie [about] what it saw.

مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 12 Page 526

أَفَتُمَٰرُونَهُۥ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ

EN So will you dispute with him over what he saw?

أَفَتُمَارُونَهُ عَلَىٰ مَا يَرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 13 Page 526

وَلَقَدْ رَءَاهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ

EN And he certainly saw him in another descent

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 14 Page 526

عِندَ سِدْرَةِ ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ

EN At the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary -

عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 15 Page 526

عِندَهَا جَنَّةُ ٱلْمَأْوَىٰٓ

EN Near it is the Garden of Refuge -

عِنْدَهَا جَنَّةُ الْمَأْوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 16 Page 526

إِذْ يَغْشَى ٱلسِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ

EN When there covered the Lote Tree that which covered [it].

إِذْ يَغْشَى السِّدْرَةَ مَا يَغْشَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 17 Page 526

مَا زَاغَ ٱلْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ

EN The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit].

مَا زَاغَ الْبَصَرُ وَمَا طَغَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 18 Page 526

لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰٓ

EN He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord.

لَقَدْ رَأَىٰ مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 19 Page 526

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱللَّٰتَ وَٱلْعُزَّىٰ

EN So have you considered al-Lat and al-'Uzza?

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ اللَّاتَ وَالْعُزَّىٰ UR

An-Najm - 20 Page 526

وَمَنَوٰةَ ٱلثَّالِثَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ

EN And Manat, the third - the other one?

وَمَنَاةَ الثَّالِثَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 21 Page 526

أَلَكُمُ ٱلذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ

EN Is the male for you and for Him the female?

أَلَكُمُ الذَّكَرُ وَلَهُ الْأُنْثَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 22 Page 526

تِلْكَ إِذًۭا قِسْمَةٌۭ ضِيزَىٰٓ

EN That, then, is an unjust division.

تِلْكَ إِذًا قِسْمَةٌ ضِيزَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 23 Page 526

إِنْ هِىَ إِلَّآ أَسْمَآءٌۭ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُم مَّآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَا مِن سُلْطَٰنٍ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى ٱلْأَنفُسُ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّن رَّبِّهِمُ ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ

EN They are not but [mere] names you have named them - you and your forefathers - for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow not except assumption and what [their] souls desire, and there has already come to them from their Lord guidance.

إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا أَسْمَاءٌ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَمَا تَهْوَى الْأَنْفُسُ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنْ رَبِّهِمُ الْهُدَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 24 Page 526

أَمْ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ

EN Or is there for man whatever he wishes?

أَمْ لِلْإِنْسَانِ مَا تَمَنَّىٰ UR

An-Najm - 25 Page 526

فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ وَٱلْأُولَىٰ

EN Rather, to Allah belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].

فَلِلَّهِ الْآخِرَةُ وَالْأُولَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 26 Page 526

۞ وَكَم مِّن مَّلَكٍۢ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ لَا تُغْنِى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًٔا إِلَّا مِنۢ بَعْدِ أَن يَأْذَنَ ٱللَّهُ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَرْضَىٰٓ

EN And how many angels there are in the heavens whose intercession will not avail at all except [only] after Allah has permitted [it] to whom He wills and approves.

۞ وَكَمْ مِنْ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْضَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 27 Page 527

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ ٱلْأُنثَىٰ

EN Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names,

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الْأُنْثَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 28 Page 527

وَمَا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ ۖ وَإِنَّ ٱلظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِى مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ شَيْـًۭٔا

EN And they have thereof no knowledge. They follow not except assumption, and indeed, assumption avails not against the truth at all.

وَمَا لَهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ ۖ وَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا UR

An-Najm - 29 Page 527

فَأَعْرِضْ عَن مَّن تَوَلَّىٰ عَن ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا

EN So turn away from whoever turns his back on Our message and desires not except the worldly life.

فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْ مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَلَمْ يُرِدْ إِلَّا الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا UR

An-Najm - 30 Page 527

ذَٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ

EN That is their sum of knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most knowing of who is guided.

ذَٰلِكَ مَبْلَغُهُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ ضَلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 31 Page 527

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا۟ بِٱلْحُسْنَى

EN And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth - that He may recompense those who do evil with [the penalty of] what they have done and recompense those who do good with the best [reward] -

وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ لِيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا بِمَا عَمِلُوا وَيَجْزِيَ الَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُوا بِالْحُسْنَى UR

An-Najm - 32 Page 527

ٱلَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَٰٓئِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ إِلَّا ٱللَّمَمَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَٰسِعُ ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌۭ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَٰتِكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰٓ

EN Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.

الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنْتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 33 Page 527

أَفَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى تَوَلَّىٰ

EN Have you seen the one who turned away

أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّىٰ UR

An-Najm - 34 Page 527

وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًۭا وَأَكْدَىٰٓ

EN And gave a little and [then] refrained?

وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 35 Page 527

أَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰٓ

EN Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees?

أَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 36 Page 527

أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِى صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ

EN Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses

أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 37 Page 527

وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلَّذِى وَفَّىٰٓ

EN And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] -

وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّىٰ UR

An-Najm - 38 Page 527

أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌۭ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ

EN That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another

أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 39 Page 527

وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ

EN And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives

وَأَنْ لَيْسَ لِلْإِنْسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 40 Page 527

وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُۥ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ

EN And that his effort is going to be seen -

وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 41 Page 527

ثُمَّ يُجْزَىٰهُ ٱلْجَزَآءَ ٱلْأَوْفَىٰ

EN Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense

ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 42 Page 527

وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلْمُنتَهَىٰ

EN And that to your Lord is the finality

وَأَنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 43 Page 527

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ

EN And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 44 Page 527

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا

EN And that it is He who causes death and gives life

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَمَاتَ وَأَحْيَا UR

An-Najm - 45 Page 528

وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ

EN And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

وَأَنَّهُ خَلَقَ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 46 Page 528

مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ

EN From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 47 Page 528

وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ

EN And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation

وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُخْرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 48 Page 528

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ

EN And that it is He who enriches and suffices

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 49 Page 528

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلشِّعْرَىٰ

EN And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius

وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ رَبُّ الشِّعْرَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 50 Page 528

وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا ٱلْأُولَىٰ

EN And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad

وَأَنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا الْأُولَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 51 Page 528

وَثَمُودَا۟ فَمَآ أَبْقَىٰ

EN And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] -

وَثَمُودَ فَمَا أَبْقَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 52 Page 528

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ

EN And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 53 Page 528

وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ

EN And the overturned towns He hurled down

وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 54 Page 528

فَغَشَّىٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ

EN And covered them by that which He covered.

فَغَشَّاهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ UR

An-Najm - 55 Page 528

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ

EN Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 56 Page 528

هَٰذَا نَذِيرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ

EN This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners.

هَٰذَا نَذِيرٌ مِنَ النُّذُرِ الْأُولَىٰ UR

An-Najm - 57 Page 528

أَزِفَتِ ٱلْءَازِفَةُ

EN The Approaching Day has approached.

أَزِفَتِ الْآزِفَةُ UR

An-Najm - 58 Page 528

لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ

EN Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover.

لَيْسَ لَهَا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ UR

An-Najm - 59 Page 528

أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ

EN Then at this statement do you wonder?

أَفَمِنْ هَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ UR

An-Najm - 60 Page 528

وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ

EN And you laugh and do not weep

وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ UR

An-Najm - 61 Page 528

وَأَنتُمْ سَٰمِدُونَ

EN While you are proudly sporting?

وَأَنْتُمْ سَامِدُونَ UR

An-Najm - 62 Page 528

فَٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُوا۟ ۩

EN So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].

فَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ وَاعْبُدُوا ۩ UR

Al-Qamar - 1 Page 528

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ

EN The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ UR

Al-Qamar - 2 Page 528

وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌۭ مُّسْتَمِرٌّۭ

EN And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

وَإِنْ يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ UR

Al-Qamar - 3 Page 528

وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍۢ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ

EN And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.

وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ UR

Al-Qamar - 4 Page 528

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ

EN And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -

وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْبَاءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 5 Page 528

حِكْمَةٌۢ بَٰلِغَةٌۭ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ

EN Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].

حِكْمَةٌ بَالِغَةٌ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ النُّذُرُ UR

Al-Qamar - 6 Page 528

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ نُّكُرٍ

EN So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ الدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَيْءٍ نُكُرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 7 Page 529

خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌۭ مُّنتَشِرٌۭ

EN Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,

خُشَّعًا أَبْصَارُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌ مُنْتَشِرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 8 Page 529

مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌۭ

EN Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day."

مُهْطِعِينَ إِلَى الدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 9 Page 529

۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌۭ وَٱزْدُجِرَ

EN The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled.

۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ فَكَذَّبُوا عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ وَازْدُجِرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 10 Page 529

فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌۭ فَٱنتَصِرْ

EN So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help."

فَدَعَا رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ UR

Al-Qamar - 11 Page 529

فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍۢ مُّنْهَمِرٍۢ

EN Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down

فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 12 Page 529

وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًۭا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍۢ قَدْ قُدِرَ

EN And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined.

وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَىٰ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 13 Page 529

وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍۢ وَدُسُرٍۢ

EN And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,

وَحَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ وَدُسُرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 14 Page 529

تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءًۭ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ

EN Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied.

تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِمَنْ كَانَ كُفِرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 15 Page 529

وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةًۭ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ

EN And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَاهَا آيَةً فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 16 Page 529

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

EN And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 17 Page 529

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ

EN And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 18 Page 529

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌۭ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

EN 'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 19 Page 529

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًۭا صَرْصَرًۭا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍۢ مُّسْتَمِرٍّۢ

EN Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُسْتَمِرٍّ UR

Al-Qamar - 20 Page 529

تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍۢ مُّنقَعِرٍۢ

EN Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted.

تَنْزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُنْقَعِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 21 Page 529

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

EN And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 22 Page 529

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ

EN And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 23 Page 529

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ

EN Thamud denied the warning

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِالنُّذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 24 Page 529

فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًۭا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًۭا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍ

EN And said, "Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.

فَقَالُوا أَبَشَرًا مِنَّا وَاحِدًا نَتَّبِعُهُ إِنَّا إِذًا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 25 Page 529

أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌۭ

EN Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar."

أَأُلْقِيَ الذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 26 Page 529

سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًۭا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ

EN They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.

سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًا مَنِ الْكَذَّابُ الْأَشِرُ UR

Al-Qamar - 27 Page 529

إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةًۭ لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ

EN Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient.

إِنَّا مُرْسِلُو النَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةً لَهُمْ فَارْتَقِبْهُمْ وَاصْطَبِرْ UR

Al-Qamar - 28 Page 530

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍۢ مُّحْتَضَرٌۭ

EN And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn].

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ قِسْمَةٌ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 29 Page 530

فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ

EN But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her].

فَنَادَوْا صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 30 Page 530

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

EN And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 31 Page 530

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ

EN Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَكَانُوا كَهَشِيمِ الْمُحْتَظِرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 32 Page 530

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ

EN And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 33 Page 530

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ

EN The people of Lot denied the warning.

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ بِالنُّذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 34 Page 530

إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍۢ ۖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍۢ

EN Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّا آلَ لُوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيْنَاهُمْ بِسَحَرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 35 Page 530

نِّعْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ

EN As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful.

نِعْمَةً مِنْ عِنْدِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ شَكَرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 36 Page 530

وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ

EN And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning.

وَلَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُمْ بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا بِالنُّذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 37 Page 530

وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

EN And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning."

وَلَقَدْ رَاوَدُوهُ عَنْ ضَيْفِهِ فَطَمَسْنَا أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 38 Page 530

وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌۭ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ

EN And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment.

وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُمْ بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌ مُسْتَقِرٌّ UR

Al-Qamar - 39 Page 530

فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ

EN So taste My punishment and warning.

فَذُوقُوا عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 40 Page 530

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ

EN And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 41 Page 530

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ

EN And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning.

وَلَقَدْ جَاءَ آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُ UR

Al-Qamar - 42 Page 530

كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍ

EN They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.

كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 43 Page 530

أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌۭ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ

EN Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture?

أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌ مِنْ أُولَٰئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُمْ بَرَاءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 44 Page 530

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌۭ مُّنتَصِرٌۭ

EN Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"?

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 45 Page 530

سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ

EN [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].

سَيُهْزَمُ الْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ الدُّبُرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 46 Page 530

بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ

EN But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter.

بَلِ السَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَالسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ UR

Al-Qamar - 47 Page 530

إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍۢ

EN Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.

إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي ضَلَالٍ وَسُعُرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 48 Page 530

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ

EN The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar."

يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ UR

Al-Qamar - 49 Page 530

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍۢ

EN Indeed, all things We created with predestination.

إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 50 Page 531

وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌۭ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ

EN And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye.

وَمَا أَمْرُنَا إِلَّا وَاحِدَةٌ كَلَمْحٍ بِالْبَصَرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 51 Page 531

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ

EN And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?

وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَا أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 52 Page 531

وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ

EN And everything they did is in written records.

وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ فَعَلُوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ UR

Al-Qamar - 53 Page 531

وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍۢ وَكَبِيرٍۢ مُّسْتَطَرٌ

EN And every small and great [thing] is inscribed.

وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍ وَكَبِيرٍ مُسْتَطَرٌ UR

Al-Qamar - 54 Page 531

إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَهَرٍۢ

EN Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ UR

Al-Qamar - 55 Page 531

فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ

EN In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability.

فِي مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَ مَلِيكٍ مُقْتَدِرٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 1 Page 531

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ

EN The Most Merciful

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ الرَّحْمَٰنُ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 2 Page 531

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

EN Taught the Qur'an,

عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 3 Page 531

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ

EN Created man,

خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 4 Page 531

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ

EN [And] taught him eloquence.

عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 5 Page 531

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍۢ

EN The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 6 Page 531

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

EN And the stars and trees prostrate.

وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 7 Page 531

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ

EN And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 8 Page 531

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ

EN That you not transgress within the balance.

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 9 Page 531

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ

EN And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 10 Page 531

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ

EN And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 11 Page 531

فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ

EN Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 12 Page 531

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ

EN And grain having husks and scented plants.

وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 13 Page 531

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 14 Page 531

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلْصَٰلٍۢ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ

EN He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 15 Page 531

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍۢ مِّن نَّارٍۢ

EN And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 16 Page 531

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 17 Page 532

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ

EN [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 18 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 19 Page 532

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ

EN He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];

مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 20 Page 532

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌۭ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ

EN Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 21 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 22 Page 532

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

EN From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 23 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 24 Page 532

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ

EN And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنْشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 25 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 26 Page 532

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍۢ

EN Everyone upon the earth will perish,

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 27 Page 532

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

EN And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 28 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 29 Page 532

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍۢ

EN Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

يَسْأَلُهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 30 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 31 Page 532

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ

EN We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 32 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 33 Page 532

يَٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ

EN O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 34 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 35 Page 532

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌۭ مِّن نَّارٍۢ وَنُحَاسٌۭ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ

EN There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِنْ نَارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنْتَصِرَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 36 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 37 Page 532

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةًۭ كَٱلدِّهَانِ

EN And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 38 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 39 Page 532

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌۭ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ

EN Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 40 Page 532

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 41 Page 533

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ

EN The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 42 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 43 Page 533

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

EN This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 44 Page 533

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍۢ

EN They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 45 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 46 Page 533

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ

EN But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 47 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 48 Page 533

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍۢ

EN Having [spreading] branches.

ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 49 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 50 Page 533

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ

EN In both of them are two springs, flowing.

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 51 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 52 Page 533

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةٍۢ زَوْجَانِ

EN In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

فِيهِمَا مِنْ كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 53 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 54 Page 533

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍۢ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍۢ

EN [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 55 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 56 Page 533

فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ

EN In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 57 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 58 Page 533

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

EN As if they were rubies and coral.

كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 59 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 60 Page 533

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَٰنُ

EN Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 61 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 62 Page 533

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ

EN And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

وَمِنْ دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 63 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 64 Page 533

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ

EN Dark green [in color].

مُدْهَامَّتَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 65 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 66 Page 533

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ

EN In both of them are two springs, spouting.

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 67 Page 533

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 68 Page 534

فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَنَخْلٌۭ وَرُمَّانٌۭ

EN In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 69 Page 534

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 70 Page 534

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌۭ

EN In them are good and beautiful women -

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 71 Page 534

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 72 Page 534

حُورٌۭ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌۭ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ

EN Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

حُورٌ مَقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 73 Page 534

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 74 Page 534

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌۭ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّۭ

EN Untouched before them by man or jinni -

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنْسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 75 Page 534

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 76 Page 534

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍۢ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍۢ

EN Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 77 Page 534

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

EN So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ UR

Ar-Rahmaan - 78 Page 534

تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

EN Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 1 Page 534

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ

EN When the Occurrence occurs,

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ إِذَا وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ UR

Al-Waaqia - 2 Page 534

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ

EN There is, at its occurrence, no denial.

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ UR

Al-Waaqia - 3 Page 534

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ

EN It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].

خَافِضَةٌ رَافِعَةٌ UR

Al-Waaqia - 4 Page 534

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا

EN When the earth is shaken with convulsion

إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا UR

Al-Waaqia - 5 Page 534

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا

EN And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا UR

Al-Waaqia - 6 Page 534

فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا

EN And become dust dispersing.

فَكَانَتْ هَبَاءً مُنْبَثًّا UR

Al-Waaqia - 7 Page 534

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَٰثَةًۭ

EN And you become [of] three kinds:

وَكُنْتُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ثَلَاثَةً UR

Al-Waaqia - 8 Page 534

فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ

EN Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

فَأَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَيْمَنَةِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 9 Page 534

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ

EN And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

وَأَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْمَشْأَمَةِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 10 Page 534

وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ

EN And the forerunners, the forerunners -

وَالسَّابِقُونَ السَّابِقُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 11 Page 534

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ

EN Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

أُولَٰئِكَ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 12 Page 534

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

EN In the Gardens of Pleasure,

فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 13 Page 534

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

EN A [large] company of the former peoples

ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 14 Page 534

وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

EN And a few of the later peoples,

وَقَلِيلٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 15 Page 534

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ

EN On thrones woven [with ornament],

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍ مَوْضُونَةٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 16 Page 534

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ

EN Reclining on them, facing each other.

مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَابِلِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 17 Page 535

يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌۭ مُّخَلَّدُونَ

EN There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 18 Page 535

بِأَكْوَابٍۢ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۢ

EN With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -

بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِنْ مَعِينٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 19 Page 535

لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ

EN No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

لَا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنْزِفُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 20 Page 535

وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ

EN And fruit of what they select

وَفَاكِهَةٍ مِمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 21 Page 535

وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

EN And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 22 Page 535

وَحُورٌ عِينٌۭ

EN And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,

وَحُورٌ عِينٌ UR

Al-Waaqia - 23 Page 535

كَأَمْثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ

EN The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

كَأَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَكْنُونِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 24 Page 535

جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

EN As reward for what they used to do.

جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 25 Page 535

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا

EN They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا UR

Al-Waaqia - 26 Page 535

إِلَّا قِيلًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا

EN Only a saying: "Peace, peace."

إِلَّا قِيلًا سَلَامًا سَلَامًا UR

Al-Waaqia - 27 Page 535

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ

EN The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

وَأَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الْيَمِينِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 28 Page 535

فِى سِدْرٍۢ مَّخْضُودٍۢ

EN [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed

فِي سِدْرٍ مَخْضُودٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 29 Page 535

وَطَلْحٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ

EN And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]

وَطَلْحٍ مَنْضُودٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 30 Page 535

وَظِلٍّۢ مَّمْدُودٍۢ

EN And shade extended

وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 31 Page 535

وَمَآءٍۢ مَّسْكُوبٍۢ

EN And water poured out

وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 32 Page 535

وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ

EN And fruit, abundant [and varied],

وَفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 33 Page 535

لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍۢ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ

EN Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,

لَا مَقْطُوعَةٍ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 34 Page 535

وَفُرُشٍۢ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ

EN And [upon] beds raised high.

وَفُرُشٍ مَرْفُوعَةٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 35 Page 535

إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءًۭ

EN Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation

إِنَّا أَنْشَأْنَاهُنَّ إِنْشَاءً UR

Al-Waaqia - 36 Page 535

فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا

EN And made them virgins,

فَجَعَلْنَاهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا UR

Al-Waaqia - 37 Page 535

عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًۭا

EN Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,

عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًا UR

Al-Waaqia - 38 Page 535

لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ

EN For the companions of the right [who are]

لِأَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 39 Page 535

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

EN A company of the former peoples

ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 40 Page 535

وَثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

EN And a company of the later peoples.

وَثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 41 Page 535

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ

EN And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

وَأَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ مَا أَصْحَابُ الشِّمَالِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 42 Page 535

فِى سَمُومٍۢ وَحَمِيمٍۢ

EN [They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

فِي سَمُومٍ وَحَمِيمٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 43 Page 535

وَظِلٍّۢ مِّن يَحْمُومٍۢ

EN And a shade of black smoke,

وَظِلٍّ مِنْ يَحْمُومٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 44 Page 535

لَّا بَارِدٍۢ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ

EN Neither cool nor beneficial.

لَا بَارِدٍ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 45 Page 535

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ

EN Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 46 Page 535

وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

EN And they used to persist in the great violation,

وَكَانُوا يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى الْحِنْثِ الْعَظِيمِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 47 Page 535

وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

EN And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 48 Page 535

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

EN And our forefathers [as well]?"

أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 49 Page 535

قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

EN Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

قُلْ إِنَّ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 50 Page 535

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ

EN Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 51 Page 536

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ

EN Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers,

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا الضَّالُّونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 52 Page 536

لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍۢ مِّن زَقُّومٍۢ

EN Will be eating from trees of zaqqum

لَآكِلُونَ مِنْ شَجَرٍ مِنْ زَقُّومٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 53 Page 536

فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ

EN And filling with it your bellies

فَمَالِئُونَ مِنْهَا الْبُطُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 54 Page 536

فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ

EN And drinking on top of it from scalding water

فَشَارِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَمِيمِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 55 Page 536

فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ

EN And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.

فَشَارِبُونَ شُرْبَ الْهِيمِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 56 Page 536

هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ

EN That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense.

هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ الدِّينِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 57 Page 536

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ

EN We have created you, so why do you not believe?

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 58 Page 536

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ

EN Have you seen that which you emit?

أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تُمْنُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 59 Page 536

ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ

EN Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator?

أَأَنْتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 60 Page 536

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ

EN We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 61 Page 536

عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

EN In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know.

عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 62 Page 536

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

EN And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember?

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 63 Page 536

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ

EN And have you seen that [seed] which you sow?

أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَحْرُثُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 64 Page 536

ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ

EN Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower?

أَأَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 65 Page 536

لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ حُطَٰمًۭا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ

EN If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,

لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 66 Page 536

إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ

EN [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt;

إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 67 Page 536

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ

EN Rather, we have been deprived."

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 68 Page 536

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ

EN And have you seen the water that you drink?

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 69 Page 536

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ

EN Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?

أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْزِلُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 70 Page 536

لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَٰهُ أُجَاجًۭا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ

EN If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?

لَوْ نَشَاءُ جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 71 Page 536

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ

EN And have you seen the fire that you ignite?

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 72 Page 536

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ

EN Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer?

أَأَنْتُمْ أَنْشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنْشِئُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 73 Page 536

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَمَتَٰعًۭا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ

EN We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers,

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِلْمُقْوِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 74 Page 536

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

EN So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 75 Page 536

۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ

EN Then I swear by the setting of the stars,

۞ فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَاقِعِ النُّجُومِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 76 Page 536

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌۭ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ

EN And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great.

وَإِنَّهُ لَقَسَمٌ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ UR

Al-Waaqia - 77 Page 537

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

EN Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an

إِنَّهُ لَقُرْآنٌ كَرِيمٌ UR

Al-Waaqia - 78 Page 537

فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مَّكْنُونٍۢ

EN In a Register well-protected;

فِي كِتَابٍ مَكْنُونٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 79 Page 537

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ

EN None touch it except the purified.

لَا يَمَسُّهُ إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 80 Page 537

تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 81 Page 537

أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ

EN Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent

أَفَبِهَٰذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنْتُمْ مُدْهِنُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 82 Page 537

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ

EN And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 83 Page 537

فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ

EN Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat

فَلَوْلَا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ الْحُلْقُومَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 84 Page 537

وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍۢ تَنظُرُونَ

EN And you are at that time looking on -

وَأَنْتُمْ حِينَئِذٍ تَنْظُرُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 85 Page 537

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ

EN And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 86 Page 537

فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ

EN Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,

فَلَوْلَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 87 Page 537

تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ

EN Bring it back, if you should be truthful?

تَرْجِعُونَهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 88 Page 537

فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

EN And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah,

فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 89 Page 537

فَرَوْحٌۭ وَرَيْحَانٌۭ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍۢ

EN Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.

فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 90 Page 537

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ

EN And if he was of the companions of the right,

وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 91 Page 537

فَسَلَٰمٌۭ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ

EN Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."

فَسَلَامٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 92 Page 537

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

EN But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,

وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ UR

Al-Waaqia - 93 Page 537

فَنُزُلٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ

EN Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water

فَنُزُلٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 94 Page 537

وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ

EN And burning in Hellfire

وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ UR

Al-Waaqia - 95 Page 537

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ

EN Indeed, this is the true certainty,

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ UR

Al-Waaqia - 96 Page 537

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

EN So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ UR

Al-Hadid - 1 Page 537

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

EN Whatever is in the heavens and earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ UR

Al-Hadid - 2 Page 537

لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌ

EN His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent.

لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 3 Page 537

هُوَ ٱلْأَوَّلُ وَٱلْءَاخِرُ وَٱلظَّٰهِرُ وَٱلْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

EN He is the First and the Last, the Ascendant and the Intimate, and He is, of all things, Knowing.

هُوَ الْأَوَّلُ وَالْآخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 4 Page 538

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا ۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌۭ

EN It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا ۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 5 Page 538

لَّهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ ٱلْأُمُورُ

EN His is the dominion of the heavens and earth. And to Allah are returned [all] matters.

لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ UR

Al-Hadid - 6 Page 538

يُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ

EN He causes the night to enter the day and causes the day to enter the night, and he is Knowing of that within the breasts.

يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ UR

Al-Hadid - 7 Page 538

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمْ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌۭ كَبِيرٌۭ

EN Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward.

آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَأَنْفِقُوا مِمَّا جَعَلَكُمْ مُسْتَخْلَفِينَ فِيهِ ۖ فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْكُمْ وَأَنْفَقُوا لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 8 Page 538

وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ وَٱلرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمْ وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِيثَٰقَكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN And why do you not believe in Allah while the Messenger invites you to believe in your Lord and He has taken your covenant, if you should [truly] be believers?

وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ ۙ وَالرَّسُولُ يَدْعُوكُمْ لِتُؤْمِنُوا بِرَبِّكُمْ وَقَدْ أَخَذَ مِيثَاقَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Al-Hadid - 9 Page 538

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِۦٓ ءَايَٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَٰتٍۢ لِّيُخْرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِ ۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

EN It is He who sends down upon His Servant [Muhammad] verses of clear evidence that He may bring you out from darknesses into the light. And indeed, Allah is to you Kind and Merciful.

هُوَ الَّذِي يُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبْدِهِ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 10 Page 538

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تُنفِقُوا۟ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَٰثُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوِى مِنكُم مَّنْ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبْلِ ٱلْفَتْحِ وَقَٰتَلَ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنفَقُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدُ وَقَٰتَلُوا۟ ۚ وَكُلًّۭا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌۭ

EN And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah, with what you do, is Acquainted.

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلَّا تُنْفِقُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِيرَاثُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا يَسْتَوِي مِنْكُمْ مَنْ أَنْفَقَ مِنْ قَبْلِ الْفَتْحِ وَقَاتَلَ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ أَعْظَمُ دَرَجَةً مِنَ الَّذِينَ أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَقَاتَلُوا ۚ وَكُلًّا وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 11 Page 538

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يُقْرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا فَيُضَٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥٓ أَجْرٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

EN Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He will multiply it for him and he will have a noble reward?

مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ وَلَهُ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 12 Page 539

يَوْمَ تَرَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ يَسْعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَٰنِهِم بُشْرَىٰكُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ جَنَّٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ

EN On the Day you see the believing men and believing women, their light proceeding before them and on their right, [it will be said], "Your good tidings today are [of] gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein you will abide eternally." That is what is the great attainment.

يَوْمَ تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ يَسْعَىٰ نُورُهُمْ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَبِأَيْمَانِهِمْ بُشْرَاكُمُ الْيَوْمَ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ UR

Al-Hadid - 13 Page 539

يَوْمَ يَقُولُ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ وَٱلْمُنَٰفِقَٰتُ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِن نُّورِكُمْ قِيلَ ٱرْجِعُوا۟ وَرَآءَكُمْ فَٱلْتَمِسُوا۟ نُورًۭا فَضُرِبَ بَيْنَهُم بِسُورٍۢ لَّهُۥ بَابٌۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِيهِ ٱلرَّحْمَةُ وَظَٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلْعَذَابُ

EN On the [same] Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to those who believed, "Wait for us that we may acquire some of your light." It will be said, "Go back behind you and seek light." And a wall will be placed between them with a door, its interior containing mercy, but on the outside of it is torment.

يَوْمَ يَقُولُ الْمُنَافِقُونَ وَالْمُنَافِقَاتُ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا انْظُرُونَا نَقْتَبِسْ مِنْ نُورِكُمْ قِيلَ ارْجِعُوا وَرَاءَكُمْ فَالْتَمِسُوا نُورًا فَضُرِبَ بَيْنَهُمْ بِسُورٍ لَهُ بَابٌ بَاطِنُهُ فِيهِ الرَّحْمَةُ وَظَاهِرُهُ مِنْ قِبَلِهِ الْعَذَابُ UR

Al-Hadid - 14 Page 539

يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنتُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَٱرْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْأَمَانِىُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ

EN The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُنْ مَعَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنْتُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَارْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْأَمَانِيُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الْغَرُورُ UR

Al-Hadid - 15 Page 539

فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنكُمْ فِدْيَةٌۭ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۚ مَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۖ هِىَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ

EN So today no ransom will be taken from you or from those who disbelieved. Your refuge is the Fire. It is most worthy of you, and wretched is the destination.

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُؤْخَذُ مِنْكُمْ فِدْيَةٌ وَلَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ مَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ ۖ هِيَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ UR

Al-Hadid - 16 Page 539

۞ أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ مِن قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

EN Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient.

۞ أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ وَلَا يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ UR

Al-Hadid - 17 Page 539

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

EN Know that Allah gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. We have made clear to you the signs; perhaps you will understand.

اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ قَدْ بَيَّنَّا لَكُمُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ UR

Al-Hadid - 18 Page 539

إِنَّ ٱلْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَٱلْمُصَّدِّقَٰتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًۭا يُضَٰعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

EN Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity and [they who] have loaned Allah a goodly loan - it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.

إِنَّ الْمُصَّدِّقِينَ وَالْمُصَّدِّقَاتِ وَأَقْرَضُوا اللَّهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا يُضَاعَفُ لَهُمْ وَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ كَرِيمٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 19 Page 540

وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ ۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ وَنُورُهُمْ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ

EN And those who have believed in Allah and His messengers - those are [in the ranks of] the supporters of truth and the martyrs, with their Lord. For them is their reward and their light. But those who have disbelieved and denied Our verses - those are the companions of Hellfire.

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيقُونَ ۖ وَالشُّهَدَاءُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ وَنُورُهُمْ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ UR

Al-Hadid - 20 Page 540

ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌۭ وَلَهْوٌۭ وَزِينَةٌۭ وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌۭ فِى ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ ٱلْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَٰمًۭا ۖ وَفِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ وَمَغْفِرَةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنٌۭ ۚ وَمَا ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَآ إِلَّا مَتَٰعُ ٱلْغُرُورِ

EN Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

اعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَزِينَةٌ وَتَفَاخُرٌ بَيْنَكُمْ وَتَكَاثُرٌ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ ۖ كَمَثَلِ غَيْثٍ أَعْجَبَ الْكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُ ثُمَّ يَهِيجُ فَتَرَاهُ مُصْفَرًّا ثُمَّ يَكُونُ حُطَامًا ۖ وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَغْفِرَةٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرِضْوَانٌ ۚ وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ UR

Al-Hadid - 21 Page 540

سَابِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

EN Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

سَابِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا كَعَرْضِ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أُعِدَّتْ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ UR

Al-Hadid - 22 Page 540

مَآ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِيبَةٍۢ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِىٓ أَنفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مِّن قَبْلِ أَن نَّبْرَأَهَآ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ يَسِيرٌۭ

EN No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy -

مَا أَصَابَ مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ نَبْرَأَهَا ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 23 Page 540

لِّكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَىٰكُمْ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍۢ فَخُورٍ

EN In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -

لِكَيْلَا تَأْسَوْا عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمْ وَلَا تَفْرَحُوا بِمَا آتَاكُمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ UR

Al-Hadid - 24 Page 540

ٱلَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبُخْلِ ۗ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلْغَنِىُّ ٱلْحَمِيدُ

EN [Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away - then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy.

الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ وَيَأْمُرُونَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ ۗ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ UR

Al-Hadid - 25 Page 541

لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ وَأَنزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَٱلْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ ٱلنَّاسُ بِٱلْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنزَلْنَا ٱلْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌۭ شَدِيدٌۭ وَمَنَٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُۥ وَرُسُلَهُۥ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِىٌّ عَزِيزٌۭ

EN We have already sent Our messengers with clear evidences and sent down with them the Scripture and the balance that the people may maintain [their affairs] in justice. And We sent down iron, wherein is great military might and benefits for the people, and so that Allah may make evident those who support Him and His messengers unseen. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.

لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 26 Page 541

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًۭا وَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلْكِتَٰبَ ۖ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍۢ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

EN And We have already sent Noah and Abraham and placed in their descendants prophethood and scripture; and among them is he who is guided, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مُهْتَدٍ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ UR

Al-Hadid - 27 Page 541

ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ٱبْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُ ٱلْإِنجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةًۭ وَرَحْمَةًۭ وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ٱبْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَٰهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ٱبْتِغَآءَ رِضْوَٰنِ ٱللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا ۖ فَـَٔاتَيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ فَٰسِقُونَ

EN Then We sent following their footsteps Our messengers and followed [them] with Jesus, the son of Mary, and gave him the Gospel. And We placed in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy and monasticism, which they innovated; We did not prescribe it for them except [that they did so] seeking the approval of Allah. But they did not observe it with due observance. So We gave the ones who believed among them their reward, but many of them are defiantly disobedient.

ثُمَّ قَفَّيْنَا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّيْنَا بِعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْإِنْجِيلَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي قُلُوبِ الَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ رَأْفَةً وَرَحْمَةً وَرَهْبَانِيَّةً ابْتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبْنَاهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِلَّا ابْتِغَاءَ رِضْوَانِ اللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوْهَا حَقَّ رِعَايَتِهَا ۖ فَآتَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ UR

Al-Hadid - 28 Page 541

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ نُورًۭا تَمْشُونَ بِهِۦ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

EN O you who have believed, fear Allah and believe in His Messenger; He will [then] give you a double portion of His mercy and make for you a light by which you will walk and forgive you; and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَآمِنُوا بِرَسُولِهِ يُؤْتِكُمْ كِفْلَيْنِ مِنْ رَحْمَتِهِ وَيَجْعَلْ لَكُمْ نُورًا تَمْشُونَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ UR

Al-Hadid - 29 Page 541

لِّئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ مِّن فَضْلِ ٱللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ ٱلْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

EN [This is] so that the People of the Scripture may know that they are not able [to obtain] anything from the bounty of Allah and that [all] bounty is in the hand of Allah; He gives it to whom He wills. And Allah is the possessor of great bounty.

لِئَلَّا يَعْلَمَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ أَلَّا يَقْدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَيْءٍ مِنْ فَضْلِ اللَّهِ ۙ وَأَنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ UR
