Al-Furqaan - 21 Page 362

۞ وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّۭا كَبِيرًۭا

EN And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.

۞ وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَاءَنَا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ اسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْا عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 22 Page 362

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًۭا مَّحْجُورًۭا

EN The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَحْجُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 23 Page 362

وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍۢ فَجَعَلْنَٰهُ هَبَآءًۭ مَّنثُورًا

EN And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.

وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاءً مَنْثُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 24 Page 362

أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌۭ مُّسْتَقَرًّۭا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًۭا

EN The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.

أَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 25 Page 362

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا

EN And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّمَاءُ بِالْغَمَامِ وَنُزِّلَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تَنْزِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 26 Page 362

ٱلْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَسِيرًۭا

EN True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day.

الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْحَقُّ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ وَكَانَ يَوْمًا عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ عَسِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 27 Page 362

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًۭا

EN And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 28 Page 362

يَٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًۭا

EN Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.

يَا وَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 29 Page 362

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ لِلْإِنسَٰنِ خَذُولًۭا

EN He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."

لَقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءَنِي ۗ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنْسَانِ خَذُولًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 30 Page 362

وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًۭا

EN And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."

وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 31 Page 362

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًۭا وَنَصِيرًۭا

EN And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 32 Page 362

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ جُمْلَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَٰهُ تَرْتِيلًۭا

EN And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly.

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 33 Page 363

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَٰكَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا

EN And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation.

وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 34 Page 363

ٱلَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ شَرٌّۭ مَّكَانًۭا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًۭا

EN The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way.

الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 35 Page 363

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى ٱلْكِتَٰبَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُۥٓ أَخَاهُ هَٰرُونَ وَزِيرًۭا

EN And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant.

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَا مَعَهُ أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ وَزِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 36 Page 363

فَقُلْنَا ٱذْهَبَآ إِلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ تَدْمِيرًۭا

EN And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction.

فَقُلْنَا اذْهَبَا إِلَى الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَدَمَّرْنَاهُمْ تَدْمِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 37 Page 363

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ لَّمَّا كَذَّبُوا۟ ٱلرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ ءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًۭا

EN And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ لَمَّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ لِلنَّاسِ آيَةً ۖ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 38 Page 363

وَعَادًۭا وَثَمُودَا۟ وَأَصْحَٰبَ ٱلرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًۢا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًۭا

EN And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them.

وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرُونًا بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ كَثِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 39 Page 363

وَكُلًّۭا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ ٱلْأَمْثَٰلَ ۖ وَكُلًّۭا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًۭا

EN And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction.

وَكُلًّا ضَرَبْنَا لَهُ الْأَمْثَالَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرْنَا تَتْبِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 40 Page 363

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَى ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلَّتِىٓ أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ ٱلسَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًۭا

EN And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection.

وَلَقَدْ أَتَوْا عَلَى الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي أُمْطِرَتْ مَطَرَ السَّوْءِ ۚ أَفَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرَوْنَهَا ۚ بَلْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ نُشُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 41 Page 363

وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى بَعَثَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولًا

EN And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?

وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِنْ يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَٰذَا الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسُولًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 42 Page 363

إِن كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ ءَالِهَتِنَا لَوْلَآ أَن صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

EN He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way.

إِنْ كَادَ لَيُضِلُّنَا عَنْ آلِهَتِنَا لَوْلَا أَنْ صَبَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ حِينَ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَ مَنْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 43 Page 363

أَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا

EN Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?

أَرَأَيْتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُ هَوَاهُ أَفَأَنْتَ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ وَكِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 44 Page 364

أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا

EN Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way.

أَمْ تَحْسَبُ أَنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَسْمَعُونَ أَوْ يَعْقِلُونَ ۚ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا كَالْأَنْعَامِ ۖ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 45 Page 364

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًۭا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًۭا

EN Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication.

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 46 Page 364

ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَٰهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًۭا يَسِيرًۭا

EN Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp.

ثُمَّ قَبَضْنَاهُ إِلَيْنَا قَبْضًا يَسِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 47 Page 364

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًۭا وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُورًۭا

EN And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا وَالنَّوْمَ سُبَاتًا وَجَعَلَ النَّهَارَ نُشُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 48 Page 364

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَرْسَلَ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ طَهُورًۭا

EN And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً طَهُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 49 Page 364

لِّنُحْۦِىَ بِهِۦ بَلْدَةًۭ مَّيْتًۭا وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَآ أَنْعَٰمًۭا وَأَنَاسِىَّ كَثِيرًۭا

EN That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men.

لِنُحْيِيَ بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا وَنُسْقِيَهُ مِمَّا خَلَقْنَا أَنْعَامًا وَأَنَاسِيَّ كَثِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 50 Page 364

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَٰهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًۭا

EN And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief.

وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَاهُ بَيْنَهُمْ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا فَأَبَىٰ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 51 Page 364

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِى كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍۢ نَّذِيرًۭا

EN And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner.

وَلَوْ شِئْنَا لَبَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ نَذِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 52 Page 364

فَلَا تُطِعِ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ وَجَٰهِدْهُم بِهِۦ جِهَادًۭا كَبِيرًۭا

EN So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving.

فَلَا تُطِعِ الْكَافِرِينَ وَجَاهِدْهُمْ بِهِ جِهَادًا كَبِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 53 Page 364

۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌۭ فُرَاتٌۭ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌۭ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًۭا وَحِجْرًۭا مَّحْجُورًۭا

EN And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.

۞ وَهُوَ الَّذِي مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخًا وَحِجْرًا مَحْجُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 54 Page 364

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ بَشَرًۭا فَجَعَلَهُۥ نَسَبًۭا وَصِهْرًۭا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًۭا

EN And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation].

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهْرًا ۗ وَكَانَ رَبُّكَ قَدِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 55 Page 364

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًۭا

EN But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 56 Page 365

وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَٰكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًۭا وَنَذِيرًۭا

EN And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 57 Page 365

قُلْ مَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ سَبِيلًۭا

EN Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way."

قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ إِلَّا مَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَتَّخِذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 58 Page 365

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا

EN And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted -

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِي لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 59 Page 365

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِى سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍۢ ثُمَّ ٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ۚ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ فَسْـَٔلْ بِهِۦ خَبِيرًۭا

EN He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed.

الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ الرَّحْمَٰنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 60 Page 365

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًۭا ۩

EN And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اسْجُدُوا لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا وَمَا الرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩ UR

Al-Furqaan - 61 Page 365

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًۭا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًۭا وَقَمَرًۭا مُّنِيرًۭا

EN Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 62 Page 365

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةًۭ لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًۭا

EN And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِمَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 63 Page 365

وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًۭا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَٰمًۭا

EN And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,

وَعِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ الْجَاهِلُونَ قَالُوا سَلَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 64 Page 365

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًۭا وَقِيَٰمًۭا

EN And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]

وَالَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 65 Page 365

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا ٱصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا

EN And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering;

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذَابَهَا كَانَ غَرَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 66 Page 365

إِنَّهَا سَآءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًۭا

EN Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence."

إِنَّهَا سَاءَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 67 Page 365

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَنفَقُوا۟ لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا۟ وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا۟ وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًۭا

EN And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنْفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ قَوَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 68 Page 366

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ ٱلنَّفْسَ ٱلَّتِى حَرَّمَ ٱللَّهُ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًۭا

EN And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty.

وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُونَ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا يَزْنُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ يَلْقَ أَثَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 69 Page 366

يُضَٰعَفْ لَهُ ٱلْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا

EN Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated -

يُضَاعَفْ لَهُ الْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيَخْلُدْ فِيهِ مُهَانًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 70 Page 366

إِلَّا مَن تَابَ وَءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًۭا صَٰلِحًۭا فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ ٱللَّهُ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ حَسَنَٰتٍۢ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًۭا رَّحِيمًۭا

EN Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.

إِلَّا مَنْ تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا فَأُولَٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ حَسَنَاتٍ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 71 Page 366

وَمَن تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَإِنَّهُۥ يَتُوبُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ مَتَابًۭا

EN And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance.

وَمَنْ تَابَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتَابًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 72 Page 366

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا۟ بِٱللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا۟ كِرَامًۭا

EN And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity.

وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِاللَّغْوِ مَرُّوا كِرَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 73 Page 366

وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا۟ عَلَيْهَا صُمًّۭا وَعُمْيَانًۭا

EN And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind.

وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ لَمْ يَخِرُّوا عَلَيْهَا صُمًّا وَعُمْيَانًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 74 Page 366

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍۢ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

EN And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 75 Page 366

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ ٱلْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا۟ وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةًۭ وَسَلَٰمًا

EN Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace.

أُولَٰئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ فِيهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 76 Page 366

خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّۭا وَمُقَامًۭا

EN Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence.

خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ حَسُنَتْ مُسْتَقَرًّا وَمُقَامًا UR

Al-Furqaan - 77 Page 366

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَؤُا۟ بِكُمْ رَبِّى لَوْلَا دُعَآؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًۢا

EN Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent.

قُلْ مَا يَعْبَأُ بِكُمْ رَبِّي لَوْلَا دُعَاؤُكُمْ ۖ فَقَدْ كَذَّبْتُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَكُونُ لِزَامًا UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 1 Page 367

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ طسٓمٓ

EN Ta, Seen, Meem.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ طسم UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 2 Page 367

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ

EN These are the verses of the clear Book.

تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 3 Page 367

لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌۭ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ

EN Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.

لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 4 Page 367

إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةًۭ فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ

EN If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.

إِنْ نَشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 5 Page 367

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ

EN And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ ذِكْرٍ مِنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 6 Page 367

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ

EN For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنْبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 7 Page 367

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۢ كَرِيمٍ

EN Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind?

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 8 Page 367

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 9 Page 367

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 10 Page 367

وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ

EN And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people -

وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ ائْتِ الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 11 Page 367

قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ

EN The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"

قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 12 Page 367

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ

EN He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يُكَذِّبُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 13 Page 367

وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ

EN And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.

وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِي وَلَا يَنْطَلِقُ لِسَانِي فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَارُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 14 Page 367

وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌۭ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ

EN And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."

وَلَهُمْ عَلَيَّ ذَنْبٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَقْتُلُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 15 Page 367

قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ

EN [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.

قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَاذْهَبَا بِآيَاتِنَا ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ مُسْتَمِعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 16 Page 367

فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,

فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَا إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 17 Page 367

أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

EN [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'"

أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 18 Page 367

قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًۭا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ

EN [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?

قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 19 Page 367

وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ

EN And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."

وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ الَّتِي فَعَلْتَ وَأَنْتَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 20 Page 368

قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًۭا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

EN [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray.

قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَا إِذًا وَأَنَا مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 21 Page 368

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًۭا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

EN So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers.

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنْكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِي رَبِّي حُكْمًا وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 22 Page 368

وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌۭ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

EN And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"

وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَيَّ أَنْ عَبَّدْتَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 23 Page 368

قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"

قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 24 Page 368

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ

EN [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."

قَالَ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُوقِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 25 Page 368

قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ

EN [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"

قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 26 Page 368

قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

EN [Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."

قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 27 Page 368

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ

EN [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad."

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ الَّذِي أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 28 Page 368

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

EN [Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."

قَالَ رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 29 Page 368

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ

EN [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."

قَالَ لَئِنِ اتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِي لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ الْمَسْجُونِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 30 Page 368

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

EN [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَيْءٍ مُبِينٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 31 Page 368

قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

EN [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."

قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 32 Page 368

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

EN So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest.

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ ثُعْبَانٌ مُبِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 33 Page 368

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ

EN And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers.

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاءُ لِلنَّاظِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 34 Page 368

قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌۭ

EN [Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.

قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَاحِرٌ عَلِيمٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 35 Page 368

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ

EN He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"

يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِكُمْ بِسِحْرِهِ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 36 Page 368

قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

EN They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers

قَالُوا أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَابْعَثْ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 37 Page 368

يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍۢ

EN Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician."

يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 38 Page 368

فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ

EN So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day.

فَجُمِعَ السَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَاتِ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 39 Page 368

وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ

EN And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate

وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنْتُمْ مُجْتَمِعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 40 Page 369

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ

EN That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ السَّحَرَةَ إِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الْغَالِبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 41 Page 369

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ

EN And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"

فَلَمَّا جَاءَ السَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِنْ كُنَّا نَحْنُ الْغَالِبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 42 Page 369

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ

EN He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 43 Page 369

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ

EN Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."

قَالَ لَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ أَلْقُوا مَا أَنْتُمْ مُلْقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 44 Page 369

فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ

EN So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."

فَأَلْقَوْا حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ الْغَالِبُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 45 Page 369

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

EN Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified.

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 46 Page 369

فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ

EN So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].

فَأُلْقِيَ السَّحَرَةُ سَاجِدِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 47 Page 369

قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,

قَالُوا آمَنَّا بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 48 Page 369

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ

EN The Lord of Moses and Aaron."

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَارُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 49 Page 369

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍۢ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

EN [Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."

قَالَ آمَنْتُمْ لَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ آذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ الَّذِي عَلَّمَكُمُ السِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 50 Page 369

قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ

EN They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.

قَالُوا لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنْقَلِبُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 51 Page 369

إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."

إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنْ كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 52 Page 369

۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ

EN And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued."

۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِي إِنَّكُمْ مُتَّبَعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 53 Page 369

فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ

EN Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers

فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي الْمَدَائِنِ حَاشِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 54 Page 369

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌۭ قَلِيلُونَ

EN [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band,

إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌ قَلِيلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 55 Page 369

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ

EN And indeed, they are enraging us,

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَائِظُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 56 Page 369

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ

EN And indeed, we are a cautious society... "

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَاذِرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 57 Page 369

فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ

EN So We removed them from gardens and springs

فَأَخْرَجْنَاهُمْ مِنْ جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 58 Page 369

وَكُنُوزٍۢ وَمَقَامٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ

EN And treasures and honorable station -

وَكُنُوزٍ وَمَقَامٍ كَرِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 59 Page 369

كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

EN Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel.

كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَاهَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 60 Page 369

فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ

EN So they pursued them at sunrise.

فَأَتْبَعُوهُمْ مُشْرِقِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 61 Page 370

فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ

EN And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"

فَلَمَّا تَرَاءَى الْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَابُ مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 62 Page 370

قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ

EN [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."

قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 63 Page 370

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍۢ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ

EN Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.

فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ فَانْفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 64 Page 370

وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

EN And We advanced thereto the pursuers.

وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 65 Page 370

وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ

EN And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.

وَأَنْجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 66 Page 370

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

EN Then We drowned the others.

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 67 Page 370

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 68 Page 370

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 69 Page 370

وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ

EN And recite to them the news of Abraham,

وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 70 Page 370

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ

EN When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 71 Page 370

قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًۭا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ

EN They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."

قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 72 Page 370

قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ

EN He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?

قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 73 Page 370

أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ

EN Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"

أَوْ يَنْفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 74 Page 370

قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

EN They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."

قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 75 Page 370

قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

EN He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,

قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 76 Page 370

أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ

EN You and your ancient forefathers?

أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الْأَقْدَمُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 77 Page 370

فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,

فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِي إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 78 Page 370

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ

EN Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.

الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 79 Page 370

وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ

EN And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.

وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 80 Page 370

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ

EN And when I am ill, it is He who cures me

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 81 Page 370

وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ

EN And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life

وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 82 Page 370

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ

EN And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."

وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 83 Page 370

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًۭا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

EN [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 84 Page 371

وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍۢ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ

EN And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.

وَاجْعَلْ لِي لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ فِي الْآخِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 85 Page 371

وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

EN And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ النَّعِيمِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 86 Page 371

وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ

EN And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.

وَاغْفِرْ لِأَبِي إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنَ الضَّالِّينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 87 Page 371

وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ

EN And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected -

وَلَا تُخْزِنِي يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 88 Page 371

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌۭ وَلَا بَنُونَ

EN The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children

يَوْمَ لَا يَنْفَعُ مَالٌ وَلَا بَنُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 89 Page 371

إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍۢ

EN But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."

إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 90 Page 371

وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

EN And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous.

وَأُزْلِفَتِ الْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 91 Page 371

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ

EN And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators,

وَبُرِّزَتِ الْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 92 Page 371

وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ

EN And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship

وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 93 Page 371

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ

EN Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?"

مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ هَلْ يَنْصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنْتَصِرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 94 Page 371

فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ

EN So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators

فَكُبْكِبُوا فِيهَا هُمْ وَالْغَاوُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 95 Page 371

وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ

EN And the soldiers of Iblees, all together.

وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 96 Page 371

قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ

EN They will say while they dispute therein,

قَالُوا وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 97 Page 371

تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

EN "By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error

تَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنَّا لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 98 Page 371

إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.

إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُمْ بِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 99 Page 371

وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

EN And no one misguided us except the criminals.

وَمَا أَضَلَّنَا إِلَّا الْمُجْرِمُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 100 Page 371

فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ

EN So now we have no intercessors

فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ شَافِعِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 101 Page 371

وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍۢ

EN And not a devoted friend.

وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 102 Page 371

فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةًۭ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... "

فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةً فَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 103 Page 371

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 104 Page 371

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 105 Page 371

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

EN The people of Noah denied the messengers

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 106 Page 371

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

EN When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 107 Page 371

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

EN Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 108 Page 371

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 109 Page 371

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 110 Page 371

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me."

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 111 Page 371

۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ

EN They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?"

۞ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 112 Page 372

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

EN He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 113 Page 372

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ

EN Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive.

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 114 Page 372

وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN And I am not one to drive away the believers.

وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 115 Page 372

إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

EN I am only a clear warner."

إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 116 Page 372

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ

EN They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned."

قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 117 Page 372

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ

EN He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me.

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 118 Page 372

فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًۭا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers."

فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَنْ مَعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 119 Page 372

فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ

EN So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.

فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 120 Page 372

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ

EN Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones.

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 121 Page 372

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 122 Page 372

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 123 Page 372

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

EN 'Aad denied the messengers

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ الْمُرْسَلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 124 Page 372

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

EN When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 125 Page 372

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

EN Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 126 Page 372

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 127 Page 372

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 128 Page 372

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةًۭ تَعْبَثُونَ

EN Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves,

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ آيَةً تَعْبَثُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 129 Page 372

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ

EN And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally?

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 130 Page 372

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ

EN And when you strike, you strike as tyrants.

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُمْ بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 131 Page 372

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 132 Page 372

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ

EN And fear He who provided you with that which you know,

وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي أَمَدَّكُمْ بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 133 Page 372

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَٰمٍۢ وَبَنِينَ

EN Provided you with grazing livestock and children

أَمَدَّكُمْ بِأَنْعَامٍ وَبَنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 134 Page 372

وَجَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍ

EN And gardens and springs.

وَجَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 135 Page 372

إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

EN Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."

إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 136 Page 372

قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ

EN They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors.

قَالُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْنَا أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُنْ مِنَ الْوَاعِظِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 137 Page 373

إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

EN This is not but the custom of the former peoples,

إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا خُلُقُ الْأَوَّلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 138 Page 373

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ

EN And we are not to be punished."

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 139 Page 373

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 140 Page 373

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 141 Page 373

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

EN Thamud denied the messengers

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 142 Page 373

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

EN When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَالِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 143 Page 373

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

EN Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 144 Page 373

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 145 Page 373

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 146 Page 373

أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ

EN Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death],

أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِي مَا هَاهُنَا آمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 147 Page 373

فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ

EN Within gardens and springs

فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 148 Page 373

وَزُرُوعٍۢ وَنَخْلٍۢ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌۭ

EN And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit?

وَزُرُوعٍ وَنَخْلٍ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 149 Page 373

وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًۭا فَٰرِهِينَ

EN And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill.

وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا فَارِهِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 150 Page 373

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 151 Page 373

وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

EN And do not obey the order of the transgressors,

وَلَا تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 152 Page 373

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

EN Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend."

الَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 153 Page 373

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ

EN They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.

قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 154 Page 373

مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

EN You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."

مَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِآيَةٍ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 155 Page 373

قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌۭ لَّهَا شِرْبٌۭ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ

EN He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day.

قَالَ هَٰذِهِ نَاقَةٌ لَهَا شِرْبٌ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍ مَعْلُومٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 156 Page 373

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

EN And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوءٍ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 157 Page 373

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَٰدِمِينَ

EN But they hamstrung her and so became regretful.

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا نَادِمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 158 Page 373

فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

فَأَخَذَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 159 Page 373

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 160 Page 374

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

EN The people of Lot denied the messengers

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 161 Page 374

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

EN When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 162 Page 374

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

EN Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 163 Page 374

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 164 Page 374

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 165 Page 374

أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN Do you approach males among the worlds

أَتَأْتُونَ الذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 166 Page 374

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ

EN And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing."

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِكُمْ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 167 Page 374

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ

EN They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted."

قَالُوا لَئِنْ لَمْ تَنْتَهِ يَا لُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُخْرَجِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 168 Page 374

قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ

EN He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it].

قَالَ إِنِّي لِعَمَلِكُمْ مِنَ الْقَالِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 169 Page 374

رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ

EN My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."

رَبِّ نَجِّنِي وَأَهْلِي مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 170 Page 374

فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ

EN So We saved him and his family, all,

فَنَجَّيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 171 Page 374

إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ

EN Except an old woman among those who remained behind.

إِلَّا عَجُوزًا فِي الْغَابِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 172 Page 374

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ

EN Then We destroyed the others.

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا الْآخَرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 173 Page 374

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًۭا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ

EN And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا ۖ فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 174 Page 374

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 175 Page 374

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 176 Page 374

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

EN The companions of the thicket denied the messengers

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 177 Page 374

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

EN When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 178 Page 374

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ

EN Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.

إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 179 Page 374

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ

EN So fear Allah and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 180 Page 374

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 181 Page 374

۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ

EN Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.

۞ أَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا مِنَ الْمُخْسِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 182 Page 374

وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ

EN And weigh with an even balance.

وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 183 Page 374

وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ

EN And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.

وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا النَّاسَ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 184 Page 375

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

EN And fear He who created you and the former creation."

وَاتَّقُوا الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالْجِبِلَّةَ الْأَوَّلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 185 Page 375

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ

EN They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.

قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مِنَ الْمُسَحَّرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 186 Page 375

وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

EN You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.

وَمَا أَنْتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُنَا وَإِنْ نَظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 187 Page 375

فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ

EN So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."

فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 188 Page 375

قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

EN He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."

قَالَ رَبِّي أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 189 Page 375

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ

EN And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ الظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 190 Page 375

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

EN Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 191 Page 375

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ

EN And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 192 Page 375

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.

وَإِنَّهُ لَتَنْزِيلُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 193 Page 375

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ

EN The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down

نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 194 Page 375

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ

EN Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 195 Page 375

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

EN In a clear Arabic language.

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِيٍّ مُبِينٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 196 Page 375

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

EN And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.

وَإِنَّهُ لَفِي زُبُرِ الْأَوَّلِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 197 Page 375

أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ

EN And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?

أَوَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ آيَةً أَنْ يَعْلَمَهُ عُلَمَاءُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 198 Page 375

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ

EN And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَاهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ الْأَعْجَمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 199 Page 375

فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ

EN And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.

فَقَرَأَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 200 Page 375

كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

EN Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals.

كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَاهُ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 201 Page 375

لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ

EN They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.

لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 202 Page 375

فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

EN And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.

فَيَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 203 Page 375

فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ

EN And they will say, "May we be reprieved?"

فَيَقُولُوا هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنْظَرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 204 Page 375

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ

EN So for Our punishment are they impatient?

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 205 Page 375

أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْ سِنِينَ

EN Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years

أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ مَتَّعْنَاهُمْ سِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 206 Page 375

ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ

EN And then there came to them that which they were promised?

ثُمَّ جَاءَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 207 Page 376

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ

EN They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.

مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُمَتَّعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 208 Page 376

وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ

EN And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners

وَمَا أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنْذِرُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 209 Page 376

ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ

EN As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.

ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 210 Page 376

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ

EN And the devils have not brought the revelation down.

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ الشَّيَاطِينُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 211 Page 376

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ

EN It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.

وَمَا يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 212 Page 376

إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ

EN Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.

إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 213 Page 376

فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ

EN So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.

فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُعَذَّبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 214 Page 376

وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ

EN And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.

وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 215 Page 376

وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.

وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 216 Page 376

فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ

EN And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."

فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 217 Page 376

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

EN And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى الْعَزِيزِ الرَّحِيمِ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 218 Page 376

ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ

EN Who sees you when you arise

الَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 219 Page 376

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ

EN And your movement among those who prostrate.

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِي السَّاجِدِينَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 220 Page 376

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ

EN Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 221 Page 376

هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ

EN Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?

هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَنْ تَنَزَّلُ الشَّيَاطِينُ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 222 Page 376

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍۢ

EN They descend upon every sinful liar.

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 223 Page 376

يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَٰذِبُونَ

EN They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.

يُلْقُونَ السَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَاذِبُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 224 Page 376

وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ

EN And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;

وَالشُّعَرَاءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغَاوُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 225 Page 376

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍۢ يَهِيمُونَ

EN Do you not see that in every valley they roam

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِي كُلِّ وَادٍ يَهِيمُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 226 Page 376

وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ

EN And that they say what they do not do? -

وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ UR

Ash-Shu'araa - 227 Page 376

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍۢ يَنقَلِبُونَ

EN Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَذَكَرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَانْتَصَرُوا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا أَيَّ مُنْقَلَبٍ يَنْقَلِبُونَ UR

An-Naml - 1 Page 377

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ طسٓ ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَكِتَابٍۢ مُّبِينٍ

EN Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ طس ۚ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْقُرْآنِ وَكِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ UR

An-Naml - 2 Page 377

هُدًۭى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN As guidance and good tidings for the believers

هُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

An-Naml - 3 Page 377

ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ

EN Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith].

الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ UR

An-Naml - 4 Page 377

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ

EN Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly.

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ UR

An-Naml - 5 Page 377

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ

EN Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers.

أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ UR

An-Naml - 6 Page 377

وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ

EN And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing.

وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ لَدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ UR

An-Naml - 7 Page 377

إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِۦٓ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًۭا سَـَٔاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ ءَاتِيكُم بِشِهَابٍۢ قَبَسٍۢ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ

EN [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves."

إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِ إِنِّي آنَسْتُ نَارًا سَآتِيكُمْ مِنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ آتِيكُمْ بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ UR

An-Naml - 8 Page 377

فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُودِىَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds.

فَلَمَّا جَاءَهَا نُودِيَ أَنْ بُورِكَ مَنْ فِي النَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

An-Naml - 9 Page 377

يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

EN O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّهُ أَنَا اللَّهُ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ UR

An-Naml - 10 Page 377

وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنٌّۭ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًۭا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّى لَا يَخَافُ لَدَىَّ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

EN And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear.

وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَآهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَانٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَا مُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّي لَا يَخَافُ لَدَيَّ الْمُرْسَلُونَ UR

An-Naml - 11 Page 377

إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًۢا بَعْدَ سُوٓءٍۢ فَإِنِّى غَفُورٌۭ رَّحِيمٌۭ

EN Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful.

إِلَّا مَنْ ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًا بَعْدَ سُوءٍ فَإِنِّي غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ UR

An-Naml - 12 Page 377

وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍۢ ۖ فِى تِسْعِ ءَايَٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۭا فَٰسِقِينَ

EN And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient."

وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِي جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَاءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوءٍ ۖ فِي تِسْعِ آيَاتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ UR

An-Naml - 13 Page 377

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَٰتُنَا مُبْصِرَةًۭ قَالُوا۟ هَٰذَا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ

EN But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic."

فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْهُمْ آيَاتُنَا مُبْصِرَةً قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ UR

An-Naml - 14 Page 378

وَجَحَدُوا۟ بِهَا وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ أَنفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًۭا وَعُلُوًّۭا ۚ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

EN And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters.

وَجَحَدُوا بِهَا وَاسْتَيْقَنَتْهَا أَنْفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًا وَعُلُوًّا ۚ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُفْسِدِينَ UR

An-Naml - 15 Page 378

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ عِلْمًۭا ۖ وَقَالَا ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍۢ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

EN And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise [is due] to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants."

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ عِلْمًا ۖ وَقَالَا الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ UR

An-Naml - 16 Page 378

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ

EN And Solomon inherited David. He said, "O people, we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given from all things. Indeed, this is evident bounty."

وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ UR

An-Naml - 17 Page 378

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ

EN And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَانَ جُنُودُهُ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ وَالطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ UR

An-Naml - 18 Page 378

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌۭ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمْلُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مَسَٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

EN Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَتَوْا عَلَىٰ وَادِ النَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ وَجُنُودُهُ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ UR

An-Naml - 19 Page 378

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًۭا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَٰلِحًۭا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ

EN So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants."

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِنْ قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ UR

An-Naml - 20 Page 378

وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِىَ لَآ أَرَى ٱلْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْغَآئِبِينَ

EN And he took attendance of the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe - or is he among the absent?

وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِيَ لَا أَرَى الْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ الْغَائِبِينَ UR

An-Naml - 21 Page 378

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابًۭا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّى بِسُلْطَٰنٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ

EN I will surely punish him with a severe punishment or slaughter him unless he brings me clear authorization."

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَذْبَحَنَّهُ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّي بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ UR

An-Naml - 22 Page 378

فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍۢ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍۢ يَقِينٍ

EN But the hoopoe stayed not long and said, "I have encompassed [in knowledge] that which you have not encompassed, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news.

فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطْتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِ وَجِئْتُكَ مِنْ سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ UR

An-Naml - 23 Page 379

إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ ٱمْرَأَةًۭ تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

EN Indeed, I found [there] a woman ruling them, and she has been given of all things, and she has a great throne.

إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ امْرَأَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ UR

An-Naml - 24 Page 379

وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ

EN I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from [His] way, so they are not guided,

وَجَدْتُهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ UR

An-Naml - 25 Page 379

أَلَّا يَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى يُخْرِجُ ٱلْخَبْءَ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ

EN [And] so they do not prostrate to Allah, who brings forth what is hidden within the heavens and the earth and knows what you conceal and what you declare -

أَلَّا يَسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي يُخْرِجُ الْخَبْءَ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ UR

An-Naml - 26 Page 379

ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ۩

EN Allah - there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Great Throne."

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ ۩ UR

An-Naml - 27 Page 379

۞ قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ

EN [Solomon] said, "We will see whether you were truthful or were of the liars.

۞ قَالَ سَنَنْظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ UR

An-Naml - 28 Page 379

ٱذْهَب بِّكِتَٰبِى هَٰذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ

EN Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them. Then leave them and see what [answer] they will return."

اذْهَبْ بِكِتَابِي هَٰذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَانْظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ UR

An-Naml - 29 Page 379

قَالَتْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ إِنِّىٓ أُلْقِىَ إِلَىَّ كِتَٰبٌۭ كَرِيمٌ

EN She said, "O eminent ones, indeed, to me has been delivered a noble letter.

قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ إِنِّي أُلْقِيَ إِلَيَّ كِتَابٌ كَرِيمٌ UR

An-Naml - 30 Page 379

إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَيْمَٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

EN Indeed, it is from Solomon, and indeed, it reads: 'In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

إِنَّهُ مِنْ سُلَيْمَانَ وَإِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ UR

An-Naml - 31 Page 379

أَلَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَىَّ وَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ

EN Be not haughty with me but come to me in submission [as Muslims].' "

أَلَّا تَعْلُوا عَلَيَّ وَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ UR

An-Naml - 32 Page 379

قَالَتْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَفْتُونِى فِىٓ أَمْرِى مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ

EN She said, "O eminent ones, advise me in my affair. I would not decide a matter until you witness [for] me."

قَالَتْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ أَفْتُونِي فِي أَمْرِي مَا كُنْتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ UR

An-Naml - 33 Page 379

قَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أُو۟لُوا۟ قُوَّةٍۢ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ بَأْسٍۢ شَدِيدٍۢ وَٱلْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَٱنظُرِى مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ

EN They said, "We are men of strength and of great military might, but the command is yours, so see what you will command."

قَالُوا نَحْنُ أُولُو قُوَّةٍ وَأُولُو بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ وَالْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَانْظُرِي مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ UR

An-Naml - 34 Page 379

قَالَتْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَآ أَذِلَّةًۭ ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ

EN She said, "Indeed kings - when they enter a city, they ruin it and render the honored of its people humbled. And thus do they do.

قَالَتْ إِنَّ الْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوا أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَا أَذِلَّةً ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ UR

An-Naml - 35 Page 379

وَإِنِّى مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِم بِهَدِيَّةٍۢ فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ

EN But indeed, I will send to them a gift and see with what [reply] the messengers will return."

وَإِنِّي مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِمْ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنَاظِرَةٌ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ الْمُرْسَلُونَ UR

An-Naml - 36 Page 380

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍۢ فَمَآ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌۭ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَىٰكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ

EN So when they came to Solomon, he said, "Do you provide me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Rather, it is you who rejoice in your gift.

فَلَمَّا جَاءَ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍ فَمَا آتَانِيَ اللَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا آتَاكُمْ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ UR

An-Naml - 37 Page 380

ٱرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنُودٍۢ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم مِّنْهَآ أَذِلَّةًۭ وَهُمْ صَٰغِرُونَ

EN Return to them, for we will surely come to them with soldiers that they will be powerless to encounter, and we will surely expel them therefrom in humiliation, and they will be debased."

ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بِجُنُودٍ لَا قِبَلَ لَهُمْ بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُمْ مِنْهَا أَذِلَّةً وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ UR

An-Naml - 38 Page 380

قَالَ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِى بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَن يَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ

EN [Solomon] said, "O assembly [of jinn], which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?"

قَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا الْمَلَأُ أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِي بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتُونِي مُسْلِمِينَ UR

An-Naml - 39 Page 380

قَالَ عِفْرِيتٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِكَ ۖ وَإِنِّى عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِىٌّ أَمِينٌۭ

EN A powerful one from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place, and indeed, I am for this [task] strong and trustworthy."

قَالَ عِفْرِيتٌ مِنَ الْجِنِّ أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ مَقَامِكَ ۖ وَإِنِّي عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِيٌّ أَمِينٌ UR

An-Naml - 40 Page 380

قَالَ ٱلَّذِى عِندَهُۥ عِلْمٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِّى لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ ءَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ ۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّى غَنِىٌّۭ كَرِيمٌۭ

EN Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture, "I will bring it to you before your glance returns to you." And when [Solomon] saw it placed before him, he said, "This is from the favor of my Lord to test me whether I will be grateful or ungrateful. And whoever is grateful - his gratitude is only for [the benefit of] himself. And whoever is ungrateful - then indeed, my Lord is Free of need and Generous."

قَالَ الَّذِي عِنْدَهُ عِلْمٌ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِنْدَهُ قَالَ هَٰذَا مِنْ فَضْلِ رَبِّي لِيَبْلُوَنِي أَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ ۖ وَمَنْ شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي غَنِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ UR

An-Naml - 41 Page 380

قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِىٓ أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ

EN He said, "Disguise for her her throne; we will see whether she will be guided [to truth] or will be of those who is not guided."

قَالَ نَكِّرُوا لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنْظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِي أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ UR

An-Naml - 42 Page 380

فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۖ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ ۚ وَأُوتِينَا ٱلْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ

EN So when she arrived, it was said [to her], "Is your throne like this?" She said, "[It is] as though it was it." [Solomon said], "And we were given knowledge before her, and we have been Muslims [in submission to Allah].

فَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۖ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ ۚ وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ UR

An-Naml - 43 Page 380

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعْبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِن قَوْمٍۢ كَٰفِرِينَ

EN And that which she was worshipping other than Allah had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people."

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَتْ تَعْبُدُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِنْ قَوْمٍ كَافِرِينَ UR

An-Naml - 44 Page 380

قِيلَ لَهَا ٱدْخُلِى ٱلصَّرْحَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةًۭ وَكَشَفَتْ عَن سَاقَيْهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرْحٌۭ مُّمَرَّدٌۭ مِّن قَوَارِيرَ ۗ قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَأَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمَٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

EN She was told, "Enter the palace." But when she saw it, she thought it was a body of water and uncovered her shins [to wade through]. He said, "Indeed, it is a palace [whose floor is] made smooth with glass." She said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

قِيلَ لَهَا ادْخُلِي الصَّرْحَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَكَشَفَتْ عَنْ سَاقَيْهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُ صَرْحٌ مُمَرَّدٌ مِنْ قَوَارِيرَ ۗ قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي وَأَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمَانَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ UR

An-Naml - 45 Page 381

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ

EN And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother Salih, [saying], "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ UR

An-Naml - 46 Page 381

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

EN He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy?"

قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ الْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ UR

An-Naml - 47 Page 381

قَالُوا۟ ٱطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَ ۚ قَالَ طَٰٓئِرُكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تُفْتَنُونَ

EN They said, "We consider you a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested."

قَالُوا اطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَنْ مَعَكَ ۚ قَالَ طَائِرُكُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ ۖ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُونَ UR

An-Naml - 48 Page 381

وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍۢ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ

EN And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs].

وَكَانَ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ UR

An-Naml - 49 Page 381

قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ

EN They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.' "

قَالُوا تَقَاسَمُوا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ UR

An-Naml - 50 Page 381

وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرًۭا وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًۭا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

EN And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not.

وَمَكَرُوا مَكْرًا وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ UR

An-Naml - 51 Page 381

فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْنَٰهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

EN Then look how was the outcome of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all.

فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْنَاهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ UR

An-Naml - 52 Page 381

فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةًۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْلَمُونَ

EN So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know.

فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةً بِمَا ظَلَمُوا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ UR

An-Naml - 53 Page 381

وَأَنجَيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ

EN And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah.

وَأَنْجَيْنَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ UR

An-Naml - 54 Page 381

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ

EN And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing?

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ UR

An-Naml - 55 Page 381

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةًۭ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ تَجْهَلُونَ

EN Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly."

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِنْ دُونِ النِّسَاءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ UR
