What is Islam?
What is faith in Islam? Islam is the religion of Muslims. A religious truths in which All the believers follows that is Faith. Now the Question is what is the faith in Islam that is All Muslims who is following Islam that faith is called ‘Eman ‘. Islam is the world second largest religion. It the Arabic word ‘Islam’ which means submission and obedience. Islam began from Arabs in Saudi Arabia. It revealed to humanity by the last messenger of Allah the Prophet Muhammad S.A.A.W. Those who follow Islam are called Muslims.
Faith in Islam
Muslims believe that there is only one God/ Allah and the last messenger of Allah is the Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.A.W. Muslims believe that the Holy Book Al,Qur’an kareem revealed on Prophet Muhammad S.A.A.W. There are 5 basic beliefs of Islam. Muslims should accept Profession of Faith (shahada). The belief that “There is no god except Allah, and Muhammad S.A.A.W is the Messenger of Allah” is central to Islam.
There are 7 Articles of faith and basic beliefs of Islam
- 1 Belief in the Oneness of God.
- 2 Belief in the Angels of God.
- 3 Belief in the Revelations (Books) of God.
- 4 Belief in the Prophets of God.
- 5 Belief in the Day of Judgment.
- 6 Belief in Premeasurement (Taqdeer).
- 7 Belief in Resurrection after Death.
There other basic beliefs on Prayer (salat),Alms (zakat),Fasting (sawm),Pilgrimage (hajj). AlhamduliLLAH for the blessings of All, and AlhamduliLLah for the blessings of Islam.
ISLAM is a very beautiful religion. It tell us If half dates keep us away from hell and the good deed multiply ten times. In Islam Charity is important because it extinguishes Lord’s Anger. Ablution, the steps for cleaning yourself for prayer departs sins from our bodies even from under nails. Fasting A Day keeps us from Hell Seventy years.
How to become a Muslim?
To be a Muslim one has to express his or her firm belief in Tawheed (the Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) only one and the Prophethood of Muhammad (صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ) Muslims should have faith, it is necessary to say the Kalima-i shahâda and to know its meaning . To say (The Kalima-i Shahâda); that is, one should say, (Ash’hadu an lâ ilâha illallâh wa ash’hadu anna Muhammadan ’abduhû wa rasûluhû).
Muslim’s should belief by heart that Allah existence is indispensable. He is self-existent all the time. He isn’t made by any other. Allah doesn’t need with anything to exist. As He exists now, He has forever been existing and will keep on existing. He is the One who made everything from nothing. Everything was nonexistent but Him. His name is Allah عزوجل. Muslims call God by the name of Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) and they believe that Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ) alone is worthy of worships.
Last Massanger Muhammad (S.A.W.W)
One’s who become a Muslim should Belief on Last massanger Muhammad (صَلَّی اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَلَیْہِ وَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ) is the Prophet of Islam. He was born in Arabian Peninsula. He found his country the most oblivious to their time and move them the most honorable, learned and God-fearing. Muhammad (S.A.W.W) supreme in his personality. A companion describing his character says, “He never raised his voice in public or used foul language. He didn’t repay evil with evil, he always forgave. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.A.W didn’t hit a worker or woman. He would not become angry if he was offended. He would not take revenge. Last massanger of Allah only became angry when people transgressed the limits and boundaries of Allah (عَزَّوَجَلَّ), in that case he reacted”.
What are the Teachings of Islam?
Islam equally focuses both the inner and outer being of a human. That is why it gives guidelines which, if observed and practiced properly. It ensure the peace of mind body and soul. Here are few teachings of Islam:
1. God will not show mercy to him who does not show mercy to others.
2. The best house among the Muslims houses is the one which contains an orphan who is well treated, and the worst house among the Muslims is the one which contains an orphan who is badly treated.
3. None of you can truly be said to believe until he wants for his brother what he wants for himself.
